Now that the weather is turning colder and the sun is setting sooner, it's the perfect season to stay inside and snuggle up with your family.  Of course, this means plenty of super soft pillows and blankets are in order!  Recently, I had the opportunity to review one such pillow, called a Cuddlee Pet, from ThrowPillows.org.

The bear I received converted from a stuffed animal on all fours, to one that lies flat so as to serve as a pillow too.  Sounds like the perfect companion for Riley to snuggle with this winter!  Keep reading to find out my thoughts on this item.

The pictures I saw of the Cuddlee Pets Pillow Bear showed a cute and super adorable blue bear with yellow face, paws and ears.  I knew that this was a convertible pet, which means that when folded in half, the bear would stand on all fours and look like a regular stuffed animal.  But when the Velcro was unfastened, the Cuddlee Pets would lie flat so as to also serve as a pillow.

I just knew that Riley was going to love this little guy, but once he arrived, I have to admit that I was disappointed with what I received.  First of all, the bear seemed very small and even though Riley isn't quite two years old yet, her head pretty much took up the entire length of the bear when she was using it as a pillow.

Secondly, there was very little stuffing inside the Cuddlee Pets Pillow Bear which meant that his head constantly flopped around limply and didn't stay forward as in the picture.  Also, when opened up and lying flat, I put one hand on the top of the pillow and one hand on the bottom and could almost feel my hands pressing together due to the lack of stuffing.The bear pillow was super soft though and felt very good against your skin.

Riley loved putting it up to her face and hugging it!  I also liked that the Velcro enclosure had a flap of material which covered the scratchy part of the Velcro when the Cuddlee Pet was opened flat.  This ensured that hair and other material did not stick to the hook and loop fastener as well as didn't scratch your child when not in use.

I think that the Cuddlee Pets Pillow Bear from ThrowPillows.org could be a top-notch product if only they used much more stuffing as well as made the size of the bear larger.  Right now, this would be a great travel pillow/toy for a baby or toddler, but once the child was older than that, I'm afraid the Cuddlee Pet would be too small.
