Dallas TexasDallas, Texas...a city I've lived near my entire life, yet one I didn't really know too much about.  I've visited Dallas several times over the years, but each trip always had another agenda, leaving little time to explore the city itself.  This time though, I wanted to visit Dallas with my family and experience everything this town had to offer.  Keep reading this first in a series of posts to discover why Dallas, Texas should be on your list of summer vacation stops this year!

Monsters UniversityDo you remember the movie, Monsters Inc.?  This happens to be one of my family's all-time faves because the story line was unique and original and the entire movie was so well done.  Billy Crystal and John Goodman were classic in their characters of Mike and Sully, and who could resist the charming songs from Randy Newman?

To this day, my daughter laughs like Boo (on purpose) and we still like to try and scare each other around the house, thus generating "scream energy".  When we heard that Disney had created a brand new prequel to the original, called Monsters University, we were beside ourselves with anticipation.  Keep reading to learn more about the must-see family blockbuster of the summer!  (I promise I'll try not to include any spoilers in my review.)

Monsters University opens nationwide on Friday, June 21st!

Phase 4 FilmsThis year, Spring has arrived with a BANG here in Houston.  Both April and May have brought a lot of rain our way and that bang I mentioned is more like the clap of thunder.  Even though the temperatures are mild and pleasant at the moment, the rain is keeping my active 4-year-old indoors.  :pull hair out:

I do my best to keep Riley entertained and happy, but being a work-at-home mom with a cooped up and energetic 4-year-old can be challenging sometimes.  If you're in the same boat and are looking for fun ways to entertain your children during those rainy days, be sure to check out the latest family-friendly offerings from Phase 4 Films.

I reviewed the following movies from Phase 4 Films, both found exclusively at Walmart:

The Berenstain Bears: Golden Brother Edition, which retails for $19.99

The Berenstain Bears: Golden Sister Edition, which retails for $19.99
