Dave Thomas Adoption FoundationYou know the joy that your child brings to your life and how wonderful it is to see them smile?

At this moment, there are more than 100,000 children in foster care who are waiting to be adopted and nearly 81.5 million Americans have considered adopting a child. If just one in 500 of these adults adopted, every waiting child in foster care would have a permanent family. But foster care adoption is often misunderstood, preventing children from finding their forever families. No child should linger in foster care or leave the system at age 18 without a permanent family of his or her own. We must educate one another to make a difference in the lives of children in this country.

That is why the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption believes that we have a responsibility to be the voice of foster care adoption, so that every child finds a family.

Phase 4 FilmsI have always loved Spring Break!  It's the perfect time of the year to get outdoors and enjoy the fresh air, bright sunshine and warm temperatures.  Unfortunately though, at times I find it hard to keep my little one entertained.  We play games, go on scavenger hunts and take many trips to the park, but being a work-at-home mom with an energetic 4-year-old on Spring Break can be difficult at times.

If you're in the same boat and are looking for fun ways to entertain your children during Spring Break, be sure to check out the latest family-friendly offerings from Phase 4 Films: Horrid Henry and The Jungle Book.

I reviewed the following two movies from Phase 4 Films, both found exclusively at Walmart:

The Jungle Book: Rumble in the Jungle, which retails for $14.86

Horrid Henry, which retails for $14.86

Box Tops for Education After a flurry of holiday hoopla and getting settled into the new year, it's time to get back to the routine.  The kids are off to school, the entertaining is over and your shelves are empty.  Let Box Tops for Education® help you out with its pantry stock up!

Box Tops for Education offers parents and kids easy, everyday ways to earn cash for their school.  The program began in 1996, as more and more schools struggled to make ends meet.  Each year enrolled schools receive a program kit to help them build their own comprehensive fundraising campaign.  After the collected Box Tops are sent in to General Mills, the school receives a check, equivalent to 10 cents for every Box Top redeemed to spend on anything they choose.

Thousands of schools have used the cash from Box Tops for Education to purchase items such as computers and computer software, library books, art supplies and playground equipment.  Support our kids' schools today at www.btfe.com.

Barron's "Are we there yet?"  With Spring Break right around the corner, are you already dreading this inevitable question from your children?  I'll be the first to admit that a long plane or car ride is not necessarily an enjoyable experience, but when your children get antsy to get somewhere, the trip definitely takes a turn for the worst.

I have a four-year-old who does not quite get the concept of time yet, so when we go on vacation, it's best to keep her as entertained and occupied as possible.  Now I could plant her in front of a movie or video game, but I'd prefer something a tad less electronic and a bit more stimulating.  Leave it to Barron's to create an entire series of fun and amazing books no family trip should be without!
